PhD Scholarship opportunity at Monash University
The School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine at Monash University is seeking two highly motivated people to pursue a PhD project in the field of work-related injury, return to work and workers’ compensation.
The positions are supported by return to work research projects funded by the Australian Research Council and workers’ compensation authorities. Both positions would suit people with an interest in data analysis, injury, occupational health or public health.
Potential topics:
Specific areas of focus for the PhD projects will be determined by the successful candidate in collaboration with the supervision team, but will be aligned with the objectives of the funded research projects. Potential topics include:
- The health, employment and social outcomes of workers with long duration workers’ compensation claims.
- The relationship between geographic location and return to work in Australians with accepted workers’ compensation claims.
- The impact of policy and practice changes on return to work and/or health service use in Australians with accepted workers’ compensation claims
