Jennie Oxley

General Committee Member

As a dedicated academic/professional in injury prevention, I am deeply motivated to advance our field and ensure safer environments for all. My journey in injury prevention research and action has been driven by a commitment to reducing injuries and addressing the unique needs of vulnerable populations.

My journey in injury prevention during the last three decades has given me the opportunity to develop my expertise as a behavioural scientist (with a focus on understanding functional limitations and impairments on injury risk (particularly among vulnerable populations) and behaviour change.

I am an active contributor to the injury prevention/road safety community. My invitations to serve on prestigious national and international committees, assess grant applications worldwide, review for high impact transport/road safety journals, and frequent engagement with the community (media engagement, community and stakeholder events and courses) attest to my recognition as an international researcher

I am also passionate about translating research into practical solutions and policy advocacy, and I am eager to bring this approach to the AIPN Executive Committee. If nominated for the Committee, I am determined to make a greater impact in shaping our strategies, supporting our community of professionals, and championing innovative programs that will save lives.
