Mohammed Aburumman has been elected as your new student representative for 2018. Mohammed is a PhD student at Monash University, and is currently researching organisational safety culture. He holds a Bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering as well as a Postgraduate Diploma in Safety, Risk and Reliability Engineering. Mohammed has worked in various health and safety consultancy roles and has served on the executive committee of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health’s (IOSH) UAE branch.
As a student representative, Mohammed is responsible for representing all matters affecting, or of concern, to injury prevention students to the AIPN executive committee; for promoting the views of injury prevention students and encouraging students to become members and be actively involved in AIPN activities. Mohammed has previously worked as an OHS consultant, and has worked with numerous clients on development and implementation of OHS management systems. He has overseen projects from across a variety of different sectors, namely Oil & Gas, Construction, Government, Education and Healthcare. He was also an executive committee member of the Institute of Occupational Safety & Health’s (IOSH) UAE branch between 2014 and 2016.
